Stone Atlas · preview designs
Seven design ideas. Which one do you like best? Each one is a real page built on the same live data. Open a few, on a phone as well as a laptop. Rate each below, and leave a note here or under the one you have thoughts about. No account needed.

Chalk on basalt 3 to 5 September Dark throughout. Opens on the live map with photographic pins, then a ladder that explains how a video becomes a record, and a public note wall. Built to sit behind a gate; the gate is off here.
1
The plate 5 to 7 September Map first, mid-investigation, with annotation cards. Then the Connection catalogue, the open questions, the kinds of contribution, and the live map embedded. The first version that was ever at /preview.
2
Scrollytelling 7 September One living map you scroll through. Eight scenes over the Earth at night: a place, the same thing at four other places, a video becoming an observation, three people improving a record, then the four nouns.
3
Click story 9 to 10 September The same story on one fixed screen with no page scroll: four phases, a Play button, and every mark staying on the map. Adds a page addressed to each creator and the atlas explorer.
4
Launch tour 11 September, live at / Paper and rust. A tabbed tour with real sites and a real video moment, the worked example, the creator offer, and the doors.
5
The light table 12 September Starts with a record instead of an explanation. One real video, the seconds somebody marked inside it, and the places those seconds point at, on the map at once. Then three short sections and the honest state of the catalogue.

The record outlives the thread 11 September, from the design brief One worked example carried through every section, four numbered figures (the loss, the record, the ratchet as a revision log, a video's second life), live counts and a day count instead of a countdown, recent changes instead of a roadmap, and four honest doors.
Thumbnails are stills, so they can lag the pages a little. Everything here reads the same database, and counts printed on designs built on different days can differ by a few. The product itself is at /map .
